Where does the company Adidas originate?

Adidas is a German manufacturer of sports apparel and particularly well known for footwear. Adidas is part of Adidas Group, to which also Reebok belongs. The group is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe. Adidas was founded in 1948 by Adolf "Adi" Dassler after he fell out with his brother Rudolf over their joint company, the Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik. Later, Rudolf founded Puma. Both companies are still headquartered in the small town Herzogenaurach in the south of Germany.
