Explanation

Peter Jackson is a self-taught film director from New Zealand. He is best known for having directed the 'Lord of the Rings'-trilogy, but he started his film career back in 1987 with the film 'Bad Taste', which took two years to produce and was self-financed. After his 'Lord of the Rings'-success, he was behind the 3rd official remake of 'King Kong' in 2005. He is also directing 'The Hobbit', which will premier in 2012.
