What is the profession of Cillian Murphy's role in "The Dark Knight" and "Batman Begins"?

The Irish actor Cillian Murphy (born 1976) started off studying law at university but quickly dropped out to try out his luck as a musician instead. Eventually, he ended up an actor and debuted in 1997, although he really broke through in "28 Days Later". Christopher Nolan saw this performance and hired Murphy for his film "Batman Begins" on the back of it. Here, he plays a psychiatrist who likes dressing up as a scarecrow.
