Who plays the female lead in the film "(500) Days of Summer" from 2009?

Explanation

The American actress and singer Zooey Deschanel (born 1980) was born into a film family, so it was no surprise when she ended up doing films, also. She got her first part in 1999 and many will probably recognise her as the sister in the film "Almost Famous" from 2000. In the years after, she had plenty of minor roles, including one in the film "Yes Man" starring Jim Carrey. She is also known for the film (500) Days of Summer and "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", starring Brad Pitt. Deschanel is also a talented musician and one of half of the moderately successful band "She & Him".
